Dave Trimmer

Washington State had the fourth-best comeback in school history, led by a couple of freshmen, to beat Oregon State and now sets its sights on Oregon , which fell at Washington in overtime.

Eastern Washington couldn’t overcome horrid shooting, losing at home to league-leading Northern Colorado. That makes Satuday’s home game against Idaho State pretty big.

Gonzaga is home tonight against Portland, Idaho joins the fray Saturday night at Hawaii.

Meanwhile, Katie Baker (Lake City) comes back just a couple weeks after an emergency appendectomy to help Montana win; Lexi Bishop (SHadle Park) has a career high 18 and Kelli Valentine (Mead) had a double-double in Portland State romp; Lyndi Seidensticker (Lewis and Clark) part of balanced attack in Montana State win; Heidi Heintz (Central Valley) also part of a balanced attack as UC Davis knocks off league leading Cal Poly: Dara Zack (U-Hi) had 21, seven steals and four rebounds in a Saint Martin’s win.

Angie Bjorklund (U-Hi) earns all-district academic first team honors at Tennessee for the second straight year. The senior was an academic All-American last season.
