Senate Education Committee invites public to hearings on Luna’s “Students Come First” plan
Boise, Idaho – The Senate Education Committee will be taking public testimony on Superintendent Tom Luna’s “Students Come First” plan this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, February 8, 9 and 10. The public hearings will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The hearings will take place in the Capitol Auditorium (WW02), which is located on the Garden level.
Those wishing to testify (for a maximum of three minutes each) are encouraged to arrive early as the opportunity to testify will be given on a first come, first serve basis for the first hour – with Education Chair John Goedde using his discretion to allow for geographic diversity in the second hour of each hearing. Legislative staff will begin taking sign-ups at 2 p.m. each day.
Members of the public are encouraged to bring their testimony in writing. Due to limited time, all who come may not get a chance to testify before the committee. However, all written testimony will be taken, added to the public record and distributed to all committee members.
