Late Weber run puts EWU in 36-31 halftime hole
Weber State scored the final eight points of the first half at Reese Court Saturday night and led Big Sky Conference rival Eastern Washington 36-31 at intermission.
Eastern, after falling behind 17-8 midway through the opening period, scored 11 unanswered points to take an short-lived 18-17 lead and was up 31-28 before the Wildcats came up with their big first-half finish.
EWU’s Glen Dean leads all scorers with 14 points, having made three of six 3-pointers and five of six free throws. No other Eagle has more than seven points.
Byron Fulton, whose two 3-pointer fueled Weber’s late first-half run, finished the period with a team-high 10 points.
