WILDLIFE WATCHING — Lake Coeur d’Alene’s Cougar Bay is filled with waterfowl, at least 1500 individuals, reports Lisa Hardy of CdA Audubon.
Among them are 99 swans, almost all of which were tundra swans.
On Friday, birders from Newport found about 65 tundra swans on Calispell Creek about a mile downstream from Calispell Lake in Pend Oreille County.
The migration has begun.
