Golden age shows tarnish
The Republican premise is that if you are rich you earned it, and if you are poor, you deserve it. Therefore, reward the rich.
Over 60 percent of American corporations paid no federal taxes from 1998 to 2005, according to the Congressional Budget Office. This “Reaganomics” was supposed to stimulate our economy. Instead, these corporations stimulated China’s economy by mutinying our nation and exploiting their slave labor. They get our jobs, and we get their junk in return (taxed).
During the Republican Golden Age (eight years of GWB), 5 million more of our industrial jobs were prostituted to communist nations like China by these American corporations. Feeling indebted, GWB gave them the additional Bush tax cuts for the wealthy for all they’ve done for America. The cost added to the deficit far exceeds the Obama stimulus package that Republicans went berserk over. Now, they ask, “where’s the jobs?”
For the past two years, some 43 GOP Senate hijackers have held the nation hostage and turned the U.S. Senate into a rendering plant by killing every bill that would have saved us. On Nov. 2, America voted Republican. Truly, ignorance has no bounds.
