Homeowners doused

Once again, I read the paper this morning and our City Council is raising rates. First the wastewater, now the water.

The council somehow wants Spokane homeowners to take a hit on the valuation of their homes. As I let my lawn turn from brown to dirt the value of my home drops. The many jobs that will be lost from the lawn care companies in the area isn’t going to help the economy at all.

As the council thumbs their noses at the residents I hope you will remember come election time, which can’t come too soon. Hopefully before they vote themselves another pay raise.
