Vandal, Flag Burner Gets Probation

Alejandro S. Andonaegui will spend the next five years on probation and have to attend mental health court for a vandalism spree this fall where he vandalized school buildings and burned five US flags in west Boise. Fourth District Judge Darla Williamson also ordered the 18-year-old Andonaegui to pay just more than $3,700 in restitution to cover the cost of the vandalism - which was paid immediately after Thursday’s sentencing hearing. It is still unclear why the teen targeted schools and flags - although Andonaegui’s attorney said late last year that he was recently diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia/ Patrick Orr , Statesman.
