6 More States Join Health Care Fight

Idaho and 19 other states are suing the federal government over a provision of the health care reforms passed last year that requires individuals to purchase private health insurance or face a penalty. It looks like the states already involved are going to get some additional help with the suit. MacIver News Service out of Wisconsin is reporting that six states – Wisconsin, Wyoming, Iowa, Maine, Kansas, and Ohio – are requesting to join the lawsuit, which would bring the number up to 26.  The suit began shortly after reforms were passed in March of 2010, and only 14 states joined the initial challenge/ Dustin Hurst , Idaho Reporter.
