In response to Mr. Polowski’s letter (June 27) about Spokane School District cuts, I think he and many others have forgotten that all Spokane administrators received an average 5 percent raise this year, even though the school district knew they would be in a difficult monetary situation. So a 3 percent pay cut still nets them a 2 percent raise!

The fair thing to do would be for the administrators to give back their 5 percent raise, then take a 2 percent pay cut – like the teachers are doing.
