Rodgers’ postcard shameful

According to the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress, the congressional franking privilege “may not be used to solicit votes” or “to send mail regarding political campaigns.”

But take a look at the mailing you just received from Cathy McMorris Rodgers. The headline of the giant-sized postcard says, “Cathy McMorris Rodgers: A Strong Advocate for Senior Citizens.” OK, so the mailing, “prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense,” doesn’t actually say “Vote for Cathy McMorris Rodgers,” but, come on, let’s be real.

This mailing is a hypocritical violation of the intent of the law. Shame on Cathy McMorris Rodgers!
