Re-election bid encouraging

At a time when elected officials disappoint us it is reassuring to know that Spokane has a mayor in Mary Verner who demonstrates consistent integrity and a sincere concern for the financial and social health of her community. Spokane should have been reassured when she officially recorded her intent to seek re-election.

Re-electing Mayor Verner is what Spokane needs to ensure a leader is sustained that is visible, ready to make the hard decisions and has no personal agenda other than serving the community she loves. She is exceptional in how she governs with intention and a focused leadership style that is collaborative and inclusive and reaffirms her life and professional skills.

I look forward to the race for mayor so others see and hear about Mayor Verner’s many achievements and the values so many of us have come to admire and respect. We need to end Spokane’s “one-term” legacy by re-electing Mayor Verner.
