Lots of tomato plants - for free

The Grant Park Community Garden located just west of Grant Elementary School in Grant Park. (Pia Hallenberg)

The South Perry Blog stopped by the developing Grant Park Community Garden this morning, and things are looking great. There are still a few available beds left - stop by the South Perry Farmers Market on Thursday from 3-6 p.m. and sign up for a bed.

If you don’t know what to plant, the Vinegar Flats Community Garden has a BOAT LOAD of tomato starts that need to be planted very soon, or they’ll end up in the compost pile. E-mail Kathleen at grantparkgarden@gmail.com if you’d like some.
