Work crews hit natural gas line

Spokane Valley Fire Department crews are responding to a call for a broken natural gas line at Montgomery and Van Marter. There has been utility work going on in the area and apparently a backhoe hit the gas line.

1 p.m. update : A one inch line has been broken. Traffic is being rerouted around the area until Avista crews can get the break fixed.
