Show respect for officers’ job

I am going to make this short and sweet. I am tired of reading in comment sections and hearing people say that the “cops” in Spokane and outlying areas are killers and enjoy killing.

When confronted with a weapon, the officers are just doing their job when they stop the threat. People, do not point a weapon at an officer; this seems to be very simple. It is very sad every time something happens where the officer is made to use force, and I feel for everyone involved.

Bottom line, our society has accepted that it is OK to drink excessively, drug and carry weapons. I just can’t see where it is the fault of law enforcement when force is used. Thank you, Spokane Police Department and Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, for all you do.
