Sheep unafraid of Fox

Joanna McPherson, I’m confused about your letter (March 9). You stated, “turn off Fox News because (as a part of the corporate media) they are not on our side.” Preceding this, you say, “stop following like sheep.” Hmmm? Does this mean that I’m not a sheep if I’m following you, but if I listen to Fox I am?

I spent many a year listening to the news slant their coverage, demonstrate their bias and regurgitate the Democratic “talking points.”

Now I get to hear the facts, regardless if I like them or not. I get information from both sides of a story and hear what each side has to say, in their own words. I kinda like this. I like being truly informed.

However, I can turn to CNN or MSNBC, find a story I agree with and let them preach to the choir, without hearing the whole story. Hmmm. No, thank you. I think I’ll be a sheep.

I do think you should know that (checking the Internet) the Chile economy has improved their poverty rate from 46 percent in 2005 to under 18 percent now. Hmmm. Damn right-wingers!
