No comment – though I am thinking a few – just a fact stated for your interest. … Talked with Jeff Hironaka before the game and traded tales of lack of sleep recently. He wins. Hiro has been up for all but a few hours since Monday night’s game preparing the scout for tonight’s contest. Hiro’s Seattle Pacific teams ran a Princeton-style offense very similar to Northwestern’s. … There is actually a Northwestern section here in Beasley. As of right now it consists of about a dozen purple-shirted fans and two Northwestern banners. But they are vocal. … A couple fans just held up a sign disparaging the Pullman police. It lasted about 30 seconds before two ushers grabbed it and crumpled it up. … Even Northwestern’s weight coach or trainer who leads stretching looks nerd, er, intelligent.
