Honorable grading system?

The grading system for high school students does not take into account honor students. When you’re in honors classes, the grading system is the same as if you were in a regular class. Everyone wants to try to get all A’s, and when you’re in honors classes it’s harder to do that. Honor classes are to challenge yourself, but if you’re under a lot of pressure to get all A’s, you might as well take a regular class so it’s easier to get an A.

My solution would be to have a point system for honors classes. The regular classes could keep the A-F grading system, and honors classes could have a 1-4 system. Instead of an A we could get a 4. Then colleges and job opportunities would know you’re in a more challenging class and they wouldn’t just judge you based on if you say you have an A in the class.
