Steele Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty

A jury of 11 women and 1 man convicted Edgar Steele of hiring a hitman-turned-FBI-informant to kill his wife and mother in law. Jurors began deliberating Wednesday afternoon to decide if Edgar Steele hired his handyman, Larry Fairfax, to kill his wife with a pipe bomb, or if he is the victim of a government conspiracy to silence him because of his political views and legal work. Steele describes himself as the “attorney for the damned” and represented the Aryan Nations in the 2000 lawsuit from the Southern Poverty Law Center that bankrupted the racist group. He has been in custody since his arrest June 11 at his home near Sagle. The case was moved to Boise after the trial was delayed at the last minute in Coeur d’Alene March 7/ Meghann Cuniff , SR. More here.

Question: Meghann just tweeted that: “Cyndi Steele gave emotional statement professing her husband’s inocence. Believes he was prosecuted for defending Butler.” Can someone explain how Cyndi Steele can stand by her man when he tried to kill her?
