Statesman: BSU Violations Troubling

Boise State University’s NCAA violations include, almost literally, some nickel-and-dime stuff. Forty football players received $4,934 in impermissible benefits — the smallest totaling $2.34. But the problems have accumulated since 2005, involving coaches and players in several sports. This is a pattern, a troubling one. The situation is serious enough that BSU officials will go before the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions next month to explain their case — and then await word about penalties/ Kevin Richert , Idaho Statesman.
