SR Wins Idaho Excellence Honors

Betsy Russell, Alison Boggs, and Becky Kramer led The Spokesman Review to the top general excellence honors in the Idaho Press Club daily newspaper competition for 2010 journalism work. The SR bested the Idaho Statesman and the Idaho State Journal to win the coveted competition. Also, Russell won first places in the watchdog/investigative report category for her continuing coverage of state Rep. Phil Hart and for political reporting. Kramer joined Jim Kershner and Rich Landers to win the series competition for their report of “Flame & Ruin: the fires of 1910.” Boggs captured a first for the serious feature report category.
