The garden is coming around

On Saturday, volunteers will begin cutting sod away to put in 30 raised beds in the community garden in Grant Park, just west of the school. The sod will be given away to people who can use it in their yards. It can’t be sold because it’s park property. Come down and volunteer at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Also, look for KXLY’s Mark Peterson doing a live morning show from the garden, weather pending, hopefully some time next week.
Soil and compost is being donated for all the beds.
If you are interested in a garden plot, stop by the South Perry Farmers Market on Thursday between 3-6 p.m.
