JeanieS: Cheating Hearts Disappoint

JeanieS: After my divorce (after 7 years and 2 children), I joined a Bible-based “under-shepherd” group where we met once a week in each others’ homes, studying the Bible and praying over our various households. I felt so comfortable and protected in this group even though I was the only divorced, single mother. I was absolutely horrified when I attended a meeting and one of the husbands and one of the wives (and not each other’s spouse) were absent because they were “with” each other. Our little group disbanded shortly thereafter. It was a terrible grief for me. I keenly wanted to know that marriages work and last forever, and that it was just a fluke that mine ended.

Question: Where do you look for inspiration that marriages still can work beautifully?
