Mary Mixes Up Stephanies

Mary Souza did some back tracking today after she discovered that there are two women named Stephanie Powers in the Coeur d’Alene area. And the one she took to task, under a subhead “Is This A Scam?”, isn’t the right one. She described the person who was appointed to the seat to replace retiring Vern Newby as the PR person for the LCDC who “seems to be in tight with the power structure in the City, LCDC and the School District.  A vote for Stephanie would be a vote for the current method of doing things.” In the comments section rather than out front on OpenCDA.com, Mary admits that she targetted the wrong Stephanie Powers for her slam: “The Stephanie Powers, pictured, that was appointed to replace Vern Newby on the school board is not the same person I met with about LCDC. The rest of the information is still correct.” Mary then goes on to point out again that Judy Meyer, wife of boogeyman Mike Kennedy’s boss, supports the right Stephanie Powers. Which apparently disqualifies the right Stephanie Powers  from continuing to serve on the school board.

DFO: BTW, Mary, I believe, still has her Stephanies mixed up. Sounds like she was talking about Stefany Bales, who was consulting with LCDC about the time that Mary met her. I’ll be interested to see if there’s a follow-up correction to her correction — and whether she mentions Mike Kennedy’s boss’ wife again.
