Reagan Repub Prez Rips Trustees

Jeff Ward, president of the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans, is in a lather about a recent tempest in a teapot involving Coeur d’Alene Trustee Stephanie Powers being invited to speak to a handful of PTAs. She contacted the PTAs to request permission to speak (as she just told me in an online interview). But Ward has spun this thing to be some dark plot in which Powers was invited but her opponent, RR-backed Tom Hamilton, wasn’t. Complains Ward: “One instance was recently uncovered when teacher union-supported CDA School Board candidate Stephanie Powers was scheduled to speak promoting her candidacy on school property at PTA meeting, which was promoted using the school’s tax-funded newsletter. Her opponent Tom Hamilton was not invited nor mentioned in the newsletter. This behavior is even worse in the Post Falls District … ” Blah, blah, blah. You can read his spiel for yourself here.
