KCSD To Recommend Battery Counts

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday that it would file battery charges against the teens involved in an attack against another student on a Kellogg High school bus. In that incident, members of the Kellogg High girls softball team, who were returning home from an away game in Potlatch, reportedly stripped down a teammate on the bus as it was traveling past Rose Lake in Kootenai County. The three girls allegedly involved were kicked off the team, according to Kellogg School Superintendent Sandra Pommerening. Additionally the teens weren’t allowed to go to prom and received other in-school punishment. Pommerening claimed earlier this week that the district’s punishment for the teens involved in the attack was appropriate/ Rob Kauder , KXLY. More here.
