Moscow Protests Mega-Loads

Julia Parker, left to right, her daughter, Idigo, 4, Nathaniel Cousins, Julie Mathers and Sharon Cousins march during a protest against the use of Idaho highways to haul mega-loads of oil refining equipment in ExxonMobil’s and Imperial Oil’s Kearl module transport project, as they move a simulated mega-load between the Eagan Youth Center and the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center in Moscow Wednesday. The protesters oppose the oil companies using scenic and local highways as conduits to move 200 oversized loads built in Korea between the port of Lewiston, Idaho, and the Alberta, Canada, tar sand oil fields.
