Democrats prime culprits

I believe Carol Johns (Letters, May 8) should talk to her Democratic representatives from Washington state as the Dems have had the power for over 65 of the last 75 years in the House and Senate, and they are the ones who have bankrupted us, not the current representative! Who shoved the Obamacare bill down our throats from behind locked doors (they locked the Republicans out), all one-sided?

Does Carol Johns realize that the Democrats have taken us over the cliff when it comes to our economy? Who started the economy downhill? Rep. Barney Frank in Fannie and/or Freddie, one of the two. And it was also Sen. Chris Dodd in the Banking Committee who assisted turning our banking system upside down. And it was brought up by Bush, McCain, Paul and a couple others, but the Democrats’ Congress would not discuss or bring it to the floor for discussion.

No, I do not think Rep. McMorris Rodgers had much if anything to do with the problem.

We are on the verge of our country going bankrupt, and the Democrats have been the major party responsible for it.
