2011 Writers Contest Winners Named
Jacqueline Gedeik, of Hayden, and Donna J. Williams, of Coeur d’Alene, won first places in fiction and nonfiction, respectively, to win their adult divisions in the 2011 Writers Competition of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library. The competition is in its 23rd year.” The winners were recognized earlier today. Gedeik won in the adult fiction category with an essay, titled “The Intruder;” Patricia Kuhns, of Rathdrum, finished second in the category and Holly Cooley-Nelson, Coeur d’Alene, was third. Williams won the nonfiction category with an essay entitled “Charlie’s Eyes.” Sue Coleman of Troy, Mont., was second and James Thomas Ball of Coeur d’Alene was third.
