Documentary on women and population growth

The new film ” Mother: Caring Our Way Out of the Population Dilemma ” looks at the population boom through a more feminist view. It’s showing at film festivals and events around the country. No word on a Spokane screening yet but here’s the trailer:

The main focus is Beth Osnes, an American woman, who comes from a family of 10 kids,  recognizing her own role in the population crisis.

Osnes: I realize that it starts with people like me and [my husband] JP just sitting down together at the beginning of our families and saying, Our planet’s limits have changed. How are we going to change how we’re making our family?

Again, it won’t be screening near us anytime soon but you can get on the mailing list to be alerted when it comes out on DVD this summer.
