Election Day: 1500 Absentees — Hayes
Let’s use this thread to follow the progress of the school and highway district elections:
- 2:31 p.m. Yabetcha: “At 2:10 pm my vote was #12 for precinct 47. Precinct 46 had 20 and the guy handling same day registration has zero. Just the two Lakes Hyway Comish on the ballot. This consolidated voting needs tweaks - big time tweaks.”
- 1:13 p.m. County Clerk Cliff Hayes tells Huckleberries that a combined 1500 absentee votes have been cast in the various school district and highway district races.
- 12:30 p.m. Eman: “There were a group of puss faced people setting up a petition table at the enterence of Lake City High School yesterday. Luna is certainly a fool but these people looked equally foolish. Strange bedfellows.
- 11:38 a.m. Jimmy-Mac: “Number 28 at Hayden City Hall.”
- 10:40 a.m. County Clerk Cliff Hayes tells Huckleberries: “I have been to several precincts and the turnout as of 10 a.m. appears to be low. But remember we don’t have previous turn outs. We have never run these elections before.
- 10:02 a.m. MikeK: “I was voter number 20 at Woodland Middle School about 30 minutes ago.”
- 9:28 a.m. Christa Hazel: “Cliff Hayes stopped by to check on progress while I was voting at St. Pius. I was voter #3 today at the 90 minute mark into election day. Low turnout so far.”
