More Info: It’s election day in Kootenai County. Precinct polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Voters may cast ballots in contested races taking place in the highway districts or school board trustee zones in which they reside. Kootenai County Clerk Cliff Hayes released a statement advising that the ballots voters receive will correlate to their specific addresses. “Not all zones in either highway districts or school districts are up for election or being contested,” Hayes said.
