Shock add DL, release Witherspoon

Spokane has made some changes on its defensive front, signing former Duke Blue Devil Ayanga Okpokowuruk and releasing ex-EWU Eagle Lance Witherspoon.

Okpokowuruk was on the N.Y. Giants practice squad last year. He’s an AFL rookie. Witherspoon, who fell on a fumble in the end zone for his first career touchdown in Spokane’s win over Dallas two weeks ago, was claimed by Tulsa today.
