Rush backs workable fixes

I am writing this letter to encourage support for Richard Rush for Spokane City Council District 2. I have had the pleasure to meet and talk with Richard on numerous occasions. It is very clear to me Richard is a person of vision who is willing to forge workable solutions to the many problems facing our community.

No one likes higher utility or street maintenance fees, and it would be easy as a candidate to just say no to these increases. As a business owner and taxpayer, I ask all candidates: What do you suggest as a solution to dwindling resources and higher operating costs?

Richard has shown a willingness to understand complex issues, make difficult decisions and take action. He is the kind of leader we need to shape thoughtful and reasonable solutions for our future. He is a gentleman, and I am proud to support him.
