Riderless Horses Honor Fallen Soldiers

“I didn’t take many photographs of the Veterans Day Parade in Hayden this morning,” posts Councilwoman Kerri Thoreson on her Facebook wall . “After seeing these two riderless horses honoring our local fallen soldiers from the 116th, Nick Newby and Nate Beyers , I was kind of overcome by the emotion of it all.” Newby and Beyers, both of Coeur d’Alene, were killed by an improvised explosive device in Iraq in July.
