Put TRAIN on track

There is a very important vote coming up in Congress, and I’m encouraging Rep. McMorris Rodgers to vote yes on HR 2401, the Transparency in Regulatory Analysis on Impacts on the Nation (TRAIN) Act of 2011.

At one time, the EPA worked to implement regulations that helped keep our water and air clean. But they’ve gotten out of control. I attended the McMorris Rodgers town hall last month and listened as one business owner spoke about the crushing burden EPA regulations are having on his restaurant business.

I agreed with the crowd that cheered when Cathy said the House was going to focus on going after the burdensome regulations EPA is creating that are killing jobs in America. Do people realize that the EPA is not an elected body? These regulations are never voted on by Congress and yet they become law controlling much of how we do business in America today.

If we want more jobs, then take a look at the EPA. They’re raising energy prices, destroying jobs and increasing our dependence on foreign sources of energy. The EPA’s rules and regulations are onerous and strangling our ability to put Americans back to work.
