Priest Lake Player Critically Injured

A Priest River High football player is in a Spokane hospital recovering from an injury sustained in a 63-6 loss to Timberlake on Friday. Details are sketchy because Priest River High School isn’t releasing any information. Athletic director Brandi Johnson is referring all calls to the district office. A call has been placed to the Mike McGuire, West Bonner County School District superintendent. A call also has been made to Priest River coach Mike McMahon. Sources have said that the player is in critical condition, but it isn’t life threatening. A source also said it is not clear if the injury was football related.
