Bonner County May Not Hire Smokers

Some call it a quest for wellness while others say it simply goes too far: Bonner County Commissioner Mike Nielsen wants a new policy that would prohibit the county from hiring anyone who smokes or uses tobacco on or off the job.One out of five people die as a result of smoking, and Nielsen says the move will save the county money in health care premiums.”II look at it as an insurance company would.
