Mormons Work To Change Stereotype

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is trying to break down stereotypes by launching its second round of an ad campaign in 12 cities across the country, including Spokane.The “I’m a Mormon” campaign was also launched in cities like Phoenix and San Antonio. The church hopes that through TV, internet and billboard ads that they’ll bring better awareness to the religion.”This is a way of sharing and communicating that we are like our friends and neighbors we believe in Christ,” LDS member Brian Pitcher said.Pitcher is a member of the LDS church in Spokane where there are about 20,000 members in the area. “I think this is just happening because the church is growing,” Pitcher said/ Kylee Cruz , KXLY.
