Hitting A Loose Dog

An item on Scanner Traffic caught my attention moments ago. A motorist reportedly has hit a dog that was running loose on Mullan & Cecil in Post Falls (10:37 a.m. incident in AM Scanner Traffic) . Earlier, a motorist had reported the dog running loose. The dog is now injured. And the motorist reportedly is hysterical. All of which reminds me of the only time I hit a dog, during a double date in Red Bluff, Calif. I’d just picked up my date and was turning around in a culdesac when the dog appeared out of no where and ran under the tires. The dog didn’t make it. Not a great way to start a date.
