Weekend Wild Card — 10.8-9.11

I capped a stressful Friday with a thoroughly enjoyable evening watching leads Steve Kane and Renai Yarrow lead a talented cast in the Lake City Playhouse production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” Frankly, I’d been turned off by uneven performances at the Playhouse a few years back and hadn’t bought a ticket in awhile. If Friday night’s performance is an indication, community theater is alive and well again on Coeur d’Alene. (Sorta kicked myself for not seeing last season’s production of “Urinetown” now.) “Rent” is up ahead. I’m definitely going to give the playhouse a second try this year. I’ll be buying season tickets, if the productions continue as good as the one Friday. Now for your Wild Card …
