Geathers returns to Shock

Jeremy Geathers, a defensive end who played a key role in Spokane’s 2010 AFL championship run, has signed with the Shock. Geathers was the defensive player of the game after registering two sacks in Spokane’s 69-57 win over Tampa Bay in the ArenaBowl.

He went on to play for CFL B.C., but was injured early in the 2010 season. Spokane attempted to sign Geathers last season after trading DE Khreem Smith to Utah, but Geathers opted to join AFL Chicago, where he had one sack in five games.

Spokane also signed OL Sifa Etu, who is a former teammate of Shock WR Brandon Thompkins at Arkansas State.
