Hank Williams Jr. Strikes Back
The
Hank Williams, Jr./ESPN saga continues. After ESPN and Hank Jr.
decided to end a decades-long partnership
following comments he made on
Fox & Friends
about senior U.S. officials, the singer/songwriter decided to write a tune about it. Titled “I’ll Keep My … ,” the song calls out ESPN and Fox. In the song, Hank Jr. contends that
Fox & Friends
twisted his words:
So
Fox & Friends
wanna put me down / Ask for my opinion / Twist it all around
, he sings. The verse ends with a promise:
Well two can play that gotcha game, you’ll see.
In the song he also states that
America is going down the drain
, and encourages listeners to keep
Fox & Friends
and ESPN out of their homes./
