Zags await opening practice

Gonzaga officially opens practice Friday and there’s a media day scheduled as well so we’ll have a post later Friday recapping opening day.

Meanwhile, the WCC announced it is teaming with YouTube to host the 2011 WCC Men’s Basketball Tip-Off on Thursday, October 27.  All nine WCC head coaches will be present to preview the 2011-12 season. The WCC offices are located near YouTube headquarters in San Bruno. Calif.

The tip-off event will begin at 11:30 a.m., and will include live streaming interviews on-line at YouTube.com and WCCsports.com.  WCC fans will have the opportunity to interact with head coaches live on line via WCC social media channels throughout the course of the event.  For media, the event will include one-on-one availability with all nine WCC head coaches.
