Hession not a listener

Dennis Hession doesn’t listen. Dennis Hession wasn’t listening when he went against recommendations in the Matrix report regarding garbage pickup about using smaller trucks in alleys to facilitate easier pickups, turnarounds and public safety.

Instead, then Mayor Hession opted for larger trucks and forcing elderly and physically challenged residents to push their garbage cans through snow-covered alleys in order to place their cans on the sidewalks in front of their homes.

Neighbors protested; still, Dennis didn’t listen. In a series of neighborhood campaign meetings, Mr. Hession was confronted again and again about the trash pickup decision; however, he defended his position, and then the voters spoke in the primary election, and Dennis wasn’t the mayor any longer.

Dennis didn’t listen then. He’s not listening still and perhaps he never will.
