State To Set Online Criteria Today

The state may soon give its stamp of approval to a proposed rule that would require high school students to take online classes in order to graduate. The Idaho State Board of Education will hold a special meeting today in Boise to vote on the rule. The measure would still have to go before the Idaho Legislature during the 2012 session, which starts in January. Under the proposal, students starting in the class of 2016 would have to take at least two online credits.
