Trillhaase: Jeers To GOP Redistricters
Jeers … to the Idaho Redistricting Commission’s three Republican members - Evan Frasure of Pocatello, Lou Esposito of Eagle and Finman. Less than a day after failing at their jobs, they sought to shirk their
responsibility by asking the Idaho Supreme Court to do the work. If they were so eager to file this lawsuit, you have to wonder how long they’d been strategizing this ploy. The court is going to be involved in any event. With no new plan in effect, Secretary of State Ben Ysurusa wants the Supreme Court to direct the redistricting commission back to the table with a 60-day deadline. But the GOP members seek a three-day deadline. They want the court to hand them a victory by implementing their congressional district boundaries and approving one of four GOP legislative district maps. Oh, and they want you to pay their attorney, Christ Troupis/

Question: Should Idaho taxpayers have to pick up the bill on the lawsuit filed by the three Republican redistricters who failed to do their job on time?
