WSU begins prep for SDSU
COUGARS
The Cougars are off the practice field after their first day of prep for San Diego State. It was a day of teaching. We have some notes, so read on.

• The main message Monday: San Diego State will present some unique challenges to Washington State, not the least of which is an offense led by a solid senior quarterback and a spectacular sophomore running back (Ryan Lindley and Ronnie Hillman, respectively), a well-coached defense that comes from all angles and a decent home field advantage. All of which were not present in the Cougars’ first two games. … We have our first look at the Aztecs. … Though there were no major injuries last Saturday, there were a few minor ones to the two-deep players. Center Andrew Roxas was not available Monday as his right ankle, which had to be re-taped during the game, was in a boot before practice. He should be ready to go tomorrow. Taylor Meighen took his place with the ones. … Tight end Aaron Dunn also took the day off, still trying to get completely healthy. … And freshman cornerback Spencer Waseem still isn’t ready to get back on the field with his knee injury. … Oh, and Jeff Tuel threw a few passes though his left arm is still in a sling. … Freshman linebacker Daryl Monroe had his Achilles tendon surgically repaired last Friday. … As for Rahmel Dockery, no there is still no word from the NCAA. … And that’s about it for tonight.
