Longtime Valley businesman Dick Behm has died

Dick Behm, a fixture in Spokane Valley, died Monday. His family has owned businesses in the Valley for generations, including Behm’s Creamery. He was a member of the Spokane Valley Business Association and this year he was named the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce volunteer of the year. He was also a regular at Spokane Valley City Council meetings and was never shy about getting up to the podium and expressing his opinions.

There’s a story here and it will also run in the Valley Voice tomorrow. The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S. Shaffer Road.
