INW: Team Drops Cyclist Armstrong
This Oct. 22, 2010, file photo shows Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong with her son Lucas, in their home in Boise. Armstrong says she’s been replaced on the U.S. world championship cycling team that’s competing in Copenhagen, Denmark, after another rider’s protest over her inclusion in the time trial was granted. Armstrong told The Associated Press early today in an email that Amber Neben challenged USA Cycling’s decision this month to enter Armstrong as one of two American riders in the women’s time trial.
