Tennell back with Shock

Wide receiver Adron Tennell, who became a key receiver for Spokane over the last half of the season, has signed to return to the Shock. He’s the third player to return, joining DB Marquise Charles and OL Ben Ossai.

The 6-foot-5 Tennell, a University of Oklahoma product, had 42 catches for 469 yards and 13 touchdowns in six games. He had five TD receptions against Utah in the Shock’s outdoor game at Albi Stadium.

The exclusive signing period, during which AFL teams can re-sign players form last year’s roster, ends Saturday. Spokane figures to announce several more players in the next week or two when their contracts are approved by the league office. A couple of players, including QB Erik Meyer, who were on injured reserve are expected to sign when they receive medical clearance.
